よくある質問
What is one standard drink?
About 10 g of pure alcohol — roughly one 330 ml can of beer, a small (50 ml) shot of spirits, or a small glass of wine. Converting this way is more accurate.
Why are the cut-offs different for men and women?
Because of differences in body weight and metabolism, women are more sensitive to alcohol, so the positive cut-off is lower (≥3). This is a screening prompt; confirmation needs a clinician.
