🧬 International Prognostic Index (IPI, DLBCL)
Prognosticate aggressive lymphoma with the International Prognostic Index (IPI).
International Prognostic Index (IPI, DLBCL)
Age > 60
Ann Arbor stage III–IV
ECOG ≥ 2
LDH > normal
> 1 extranodal site
When to use
Risk-stratify diffuse large B-cell lymphoma at diagnosis.
How it works
One point each for age > 60, stage III/IV, ECOG ≥ 2, elevated LDH, > 1 extranodal site. 0–1 low, 2 low-intermediate, 3 high-intermediate, 4–5 high.
Key points
- Guides prognosis in the rituximab era (also see R-IPI/NCCN-IPI).
- Higher scores correlate with lower survival.
- Used in trial stratification.
