🦴 CDAI (Clinical Disease Activity Index, RA)
Calculate the Clinical Disease Activity Index (CDAI) for rheumatoid arthritis — a lab-free, immediately available activity measure.
CDAI (Clinical Disease Activity Index, RA)
Tender joint count (0–28) (joints)
Swollen joint count (0–28) (joints)
Patient global assessment (0–10) (cm)
Physician global assessment (0–10) (cm)
When to use
Assess RA disease activity at the bedside and support treat-to-target follow-up.
How it works
CDAI = tender joints (0–28) + swollen joints (0–28) + patient global (0–10) + physician global (0–10). ≤ 2.8 remission, ≤ 10 low, ≤ 22 moderate, > 22 high.
Key points
- Excludes acute-phase reactants, so it can be scored instantly.
- Complements DAS28 and SDAI.
- Useful for treat-to-target monitoring.
