Common questions

What does Intracranial Stenosis (WASID) do?

Quantify intracranial large-artery stenosis to guide intensive medical therapy decisions.

How is the result calculated?

WASID = (1 − Dstenosis/Dnormal)×100, using the proximal normal segment (or distal if proximally diseased). Mild < 50%, moderate 50–69%, severe 70–99%.

Is this a substitute for clinical judgement?

No. All results are decision-support only, for licensed clinicians. They must be individualized to the whole patient and the latest guideline version.
