📋 Case data
  • Mid-trimester transvaginal cervical length (singleton)CL ≤25 mm and spontaneous preterm history / cervix already dilated
Data is taken from this pathway's reviewed node text. Work through the pathway step by step.
Step 1 / 1 · Mid-trimester transvaginal cervical length (singleton)
Mid-trimester transvaginal cervical length (singleton)?
💡 Transvaginal ultrasound (TVU) is the gold standard (empty bladder, sagittal plane, internal to external os, no over-compression, cervix about 50% of the screen). Funneling (internal os opening, progressing downward from the internal os) ± amniotic fluid sludge → raised risk (just document presence, no need to measure funnel depth/width). Short cervix = CL ≤25 mm (<24 weeks).
